Simon Li is proud to have been one of the first China-based companies to join the United Nations “Global Compact” in 2003. Global Compact focuses on basic human rights and sets standards and rules for the protection of workers’ human rights, protects freedom of association, and works to prevent forced labor, child labor, discrimination, bribery and corruption.
Simon Li is also a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Working Group of the Danish Foreign Mission, led by the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing.
Simon Li has created a fund for workers’ health and security. The fund is managed by the workers and is used for special medical needs. Workers and staff donate money and the company matches all donations. Quality education for staff and workers’ kids is a primary concern for the company. We work on securing the best schools available for the workers’ kids. Social events, sport clubs, sport tournaments, annual award events and other activities are part of the lively calendar for the company.
Donations and charity projects in close cooperation with the local governments for the community around the factories has always been an integral part of being a good company.
Simon Li has very strict policies, standards and behavior patterns set up to secure a 100% clean and fair business environment. On top of this, audits by external auditors are carried out every year.
