The frame is made of furniture grade solid wood and high quality plywood.
The wood is sourced from responsible and sustainable forests, preferably FSC certified vendors, and the Chain of Custody (COC) is carefully audited.
The process of milling the logs into sawn timbers and veneers and especially the drying of the timber in kilns is followed through.
We inspect every batch of wood for knots and defects, and most importantly, moisture content. Any lot above 12% relative moisture content is either sent back or dried again in our own kiln at the factory.
We test the strength and stability of all wood components in our own lab and we have third party laboratories to inspect random batches. Water based glue and hot glue from highly automated dispensing machines safely allow workers to secure the frame components to produce the highest quality and to protect the environment and the workers.
